DRILLING ENGINEER

A position in drilling and well consyruction with particular emphasis on drilling design, planning, cost controlling , and well delivery at a minimum cost

POSITION: SNR DRILLING SUPERVISOR
DURATION: (2007– DATE)
DUTIES:
•Ensure that work progresses in accordance with approved drilling and completion programs, including any revisions sanctioned by management.
•Ensure that all activities are reported in a timely manner and recorded fully and accurately.
•Captures daily well cost and ensures well is delivered within approved budget.
•Ensures that all the service contractors tools/equipment are function tested on arrival at site and prior to running in hole to ensure minimal NPT.
•Ensure that every piece of equipment run into a well bore are in good condition and has been accurately measured (length, O.D, I.D, etc) and that the measurements are recorded.
•Justify the decision criteria for pulling of any drill bit.

POSITION:DRILLING ENGINEER
DURATION:(2004 – 2007)
DUTIES:

1.Design drilling and completion programme of wells. Conducts the pre-spud meetings, DWOP and CWOP with the service companies.
2.Prepares AFEs. Ensure well delivery within approved AFEs.
3.Co-ordinates the contracting process for drilling rigs and service companies
4.Controls Well Cost by eliminating non-essential activities, NPT and consult with management for any approval whatsoever should any need arises.
5.Prepares End of Well Reports. - With particular emphasis on the lessons learnt.
6.Co-ordinates Engineers field movement schedule and Rig time-off and conduct in-door training periodically.
7.Ensure operation plan meet critical HSE objectives
8.Prepares, submit and obtain approvals of operational activities from relevant regulatory bodies esp. DPR and NAPIMS in Nigeria.
9.Makes a presentation to DPR

POSITION WELLSITE ENGINEER
DURATION:(2001 - 2004)
DUTIES:
1.Design and executes primary cementing programme for wells and evaluate jobs through Leak off test. Establishes FIT/LOT. Perform remedial cementing when needed.
2.Design and execute well stimulation (matrix acidizing) jobs. Confirms acid system design using compatibility / sludge test. Perform injectivity test. Executes jobs and flow well through nitrogen lift.
