ľ Development of technical standards and application uses and provide technical assistance GLIA staff (users)
ľ Analyze products and recommend use of new products and services to management
ľ Analyze, plan and propose new network applications, communication, web, email, domain servers and resolve network problems
ľ Install, configure, maintain and manage GLIA's LAN/WAN performance and security and be responsible for GLIA internet / intranet administration
ľ Establish and implement policies and procedures for LAN/WAN usage throughout GLIA Secretariat
ľ Assess network performance, maintain network systems, recommend upgrades or improvements when necessary
ľ Manage and work with performance on multiple hardware and software platforms interface at the most complex level
ľ Work with GLIA Information Officer to implement database security policy, enforce security systems measures and establish appropriate backups, disaster recovery and offsite storage services for GLIA network system in general and Information Documentation Center in particular
ľ Implement comprehensive maintenance procedures for the database system and repair damaged databases
ľ Ensure confidentiality and reliability of corporate data, proprietary information, and intellectual property
ľ Design, install, and maintain data communication between mainframe, terminals, printers, LANs, and remote site hardware.
ľ In liaison with contractors/vendors design, implement and maintain a WAN interconnecting the GLIA six countries offices in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and DRC Congo.
ľ Recommend, purchase and implement security measures covering the six LANs in the region to guarantee optimum data integrity.
ľ Come up with viable IT solutions/systems to reduce running costs of the program
ľ Help in recruiting of IT staff in the six counties and offer lead management by developing their job descriptions and subsequent supervision.
ľ Do reports of the program and submit them to both GLIA management, World Bank and any other stakeholders.

Bachelors Degree in Electrical and Communication Engineering with a strong bias in ICT.
Have Microsoft Certified Systems Engineering(MCSE)with all its seven components
