FAUJI FERTILIZER COMPANY (FORMERLY NATIONAL FERTILIZER COMPANY) MIRPUR MATHELO

Joined Paksaudi Fertilizer (NFC) Company, Mirpur Mathelo on Feb 16 th 1998 as Apprentice Engineer and after successful training , appointed as Assistant Manager (Chemical). Paksaudi Fertilizer was privatized and handed over to Fauji Fertilizer Company on June 1st 2002.
This complex has the rated capacity to produce 557,000 metric tones urea fertilizer from natural gas. I am performing duty as a shift manager from about last 10 years at different sections of this complex including water treatment and steam and power generation and have experience of handling .
„« Plant operations involving high-pressures boilers each 120 tons KS steam production (up to 105 kg/cm2), high temperatures (up to 510˘XC).
„« Two Generators (8 MWG each) driven by a 9.3 MW condensing and extraction steam turbine having a rated speed of 14000 rpm, driven by Super heated steam of 510˘XC and pressure 105atm.

„« High pressure BFW centrifugal pumps having very high and discharge pressure up to 140 atm.
„« Clarifier, Demineralization plant (Ion Exchangers), Induced draft cooling towers where sodium dichromate and zinc sulphate was used as corrosion inhibitors but in October 2004 Zinc-chromate treatment is switched over with environment friendly Zinc-Phosphate due to carcinogenic nature of chromate.
„« I was the member of team who actively participated in switchover of Zinc-chromate cooling water treatment to Zinc-Phosphate treatment and got local as well as foreign training at MALAYSIA on phosphate treatment under Buckman Laboratories Ltd.
