Petroleum Engineer

To work in an internationally renowned oil and gas company in the petroleum descipline.

I joined in 1984, the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation which is the premier oil company in India operating in both upstream and downstream sectors. Since joining till date, I worked both in the upstream and downstream sectors. I’ve worked at the Mumbai high, Assam and Ahmedabad oil fields of ONGC and also at the Uran oil and gas plant of ONGC wherein facilities are available for stabilization of crude oil and processing of natural gas for extraction of value added products.

My professional experience therefore lies both in oil/gas processing and oil/gas production operations.

Petroleum engineering experience at ONGC oilfields ( 14 years)
( From 1984- 1992 at ONGC MUMBAI and again from 2002 till date at ONGC Assam and ONGC Ahmedabad ( Onshore )
I worked in various areas in the production group, often with MDTs , the important functions as detailed below.

Broad Work Experience.

Responsible for production optimization, well workovers, completions design and maintenance of production efficiency.

Identify, rank and optimize well-work based on production maintenance, production increase and reserve increase.

Prepare and implement downhole completion and workover programs on new and existing wells in close cooperation with reservoir engineering, drilling and geology department professionals.

Responsible for production logging, well test design and analysis, coiled tubing applications, electric and slick line operations, well integrity and well control.
Design and implement optimal artificial lift.
Design and implement horizontal and multi-lateral well completions, stimulation and workovers.
Implement root-cause failure analysis of artificial lift.
Track and implement improvements to reduce failures and downtime.
Maintain a database of all completions and workovers.
Identify successful and unsuccessful practices and make recommendations to improve the success ratio.
Keep current on new technology.
Identify and present new production engineering technologies for approval of field-testing.
Prepare and present professional presentations for technical meetings.
Have an active role in personnel development in the Department through supervision, work reviews, training and mentoring

Worldwide Experience :

Worked on a four-month assignment from May to Sept –2000 at Sidi Kerir petrochemical complex, Alexandria, Egypt. The 300000 MTY ethylene plant was constructed and commissioned by M\S TOYO Engg, Japan on a turnkey basis. I was given the responsibility of commissioning the associated wastewater treatment plant single-handedly. The plant was successfully commissioned by sept.00.

• ISO 9002 and ISO 14001and Ohsas 18000 : - Involved in activities related to formulation and subsequent award of these standards and further successful implementation of these. Working regularly as an auditor during internal audits.
