Working as Corrosion Engineer in Production Department
Understanding of piping layout and drawings of well surface facilities and underground flow lines
Reviewing of Isometric and P&ID drawings
Scheduled inspection of flow lines, Joints (Tees and Elbows) to check the thickness and weld integrity using Ultrasonic Thickness Meter and Ultrasonic Flaw Detector and interpretation and submission of results with minimum guidance
Underground pipelines location and Holiday (flaw) detection using Holiday Detectors and Line Locators
Complete understanding of Cathodic Protection System (both Impressed Current and Sacrificial Anode) including TEGs and TR, Anode Bed, AJB, CCB, etc.
routine measurement of PSP (pipe to soil potential) readings of flow lines and well casings
Coating wrapping of underground flow lines and regular chemical (corrosion and scale inhibitor) injection and Batch Treatment of well head
Installation and retrieving of ER (Electrical Resistance) probe and Corrosion Coupons using Retrieving Kit and to determine the corrosion rate of pipelines using both methods and interpreting the results
Interacting with other departments to ensure the smoothness and speed of work
