Piping Superintendent

A challenging position as a Piping Engineer that will further develop my skills and opportunity for career growth.

Co-ordination of all the activities with Clint/Consultants/Sub-contractors for smooth progress of the job.
Close co-ordination with Engineering office, client & subcontractors to resolve outstanding engineering and material related open issues, which are critical to project milestones.
Through of all specification, codes, drawings, standards etc. for easy execution of the job.
Preparation of sketches/Iso’s/Drawing etc. for reference of fabrication to avoid confusion/repetition of the work/delay etc.
Perform line checks, inspection & execution of pipe tests as required.
Prepare & maintain all QA related documentation records for final turnover.
Managing contractors/Supervisors ensuring schedule & quality requirements.
Pre-commissioning (line check, punch listing, hydro and pneumatic testing,
flushing, painting and insulation, pigging, coating & lining, cathodic protection,stress relieving) activities in Power, refinery, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Projects.
Responsible for execution of all field engineering activities related to all underground and above ground piping systems. Field Erected Storage tanks, pumps, Heat exchanger, vessales.
Review drawings for constructability, Preparation of Field Change Notice (FCN) & Field change request (FCR), Non conformance reports (NCR), preparing bill of materials & generate field material (FMR) requisition.
Discuss & resolve outstanding technical issues with engineering office, subcontractors & with client’s representatives as required while maintaining a professional relationship.
Providing inputs to field project control for making construction schedule, certifying subcontractor’s / vendor’s bills for payment, attending weekly progress review meeting with subcontractors to review the progress of work, participating walk down to prepare final punch list & follow throw until all items are closed.
Take initiative & develop positive attitude towards work & accept challenges. Work as a team. Maintain healthy work atmosphere & safety awareness within the group.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Hooghly Institute of Technology, Hooghly, West Bengal, India in 1987.
