Over 5 years Commissioning activities experience in Utility Plant Machinery such as Turbine Generators, Boilers, Water reg. Systems and Air Compressors. I am seeking opportunities for Field Utility Operator positions in oil and gas Refinery.
Professional Experience
• General operations on water tube boilers
• Performs routine checks on process equipment and recommend solutions to any anomalies.
• Ensures good housekeeping and safe/environmental requirements.
• Checked local gauges and instruments such as level, flow, temperature and pressure to ensure that they were within the operating ranges as per design. Verified any anomalies with control room indicators.
• Took regular samples of products for laboratory analysis and also irregular samples upon request.
• Prepared monthly, quarterly and annual reports of energy consumption of the refinery.
• Estimated the operational running hours of all equipment for maintenance purposes.
• Operates Turbine Generators, Cooling Tower units, Water Demineralization unit, Electric and Turbine Air Compressors and Electric and Turbine driven pumps
• Operated 4 Steam Generators (Boilers) of 70 tons capacity EACH.
• Operated 2 Steam Generators of 6MW and 5.5MW capacity respectively.
• Monitored and controlled process parameters to ensure that the units were working within normal operating range.
• Shut down the process units or equipment for turnaround or maintenance following established procedures.
• Prepared log sheet and notes on events for in-coming shift and for process analysis by technician engineers.
• Liaised with instrument technicians to ensure that instruments are well calibrated and functioned optimally.
• Operates the cooling Tower by controlling and monitoring the chemical dosage into the cooling basin, the make-up and blow-down water, the cooling fans and pumps to ensure effective cooling in the refinery.
