Roberto Pil, 53, a seasoned process engineer with 26+ years of solid experience in process design mostly in EPCM/consultancy setting. Until recently, I have been doing heavy oil SAGD, refinery, upstream Oil and Gas projects in Canada and abroad, in projects owned and operated by some of the world’s leaders in their industries.

Having successfully completed Dupont’s Singapore Adipic Acid plant as Lead Process Engineer-Utilities in 1994 and probably being the first in Atlantic Canada to design an offshore platform indirect-cooling for EnCana’s Offshore Gas (CAD$1.2B) Dev. Project, should make me fit to the job I am applying for. By designing a number of large offshore/ onshore utilities systems made me specialist in heat exchangers design. I am good in relief system design and well versed in international industry standards (API, ASME) and design codes. I have sized many 2-phase separators, hundreds of control valves, pressure relief valves, etc. I am familiar with HYSYS and VMGSim process simulators / heat exchanger design softwares. I have reviewed or participated in many compact equipment skid design.

You would find my brief experience as project manager in an ASME Sec.VIII pressure vessel fabricator (U-stamped), essential and beneficial. I am skillful at reviewing plot plans, isometrics and GA/Layout including NAVIS, 3D piping models. This is not to mention my above-average skills in reviewing vendor documents/ drawings.
