I am working in Pakistan Refinery Limited,Karachi under the management of Shell Pakistan Limited installed by (U.O.P) and (Kellog) certified by I.S.O. 9001 , I.S.O. 14001 and O.H.S.A.S. ( occupational health & safety assessment series ) as Graduate Trainee Engineer Chemical in Process & Utility section .During my training I learnt about Crude Distillation Unit,Hydrotreating Unit,Platforming Unit, LPG Recovery Unit,Utilities (Boilers,Desalination R.O Demineralization Ion Exchange).

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and evaluating the performance of various process equipments like Distillation Columns, Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, Pumps, Turbines, Compressors, Furnaces, Reactors, Cooling Towers, Boilers etc.
Daily plant Monitoring and Data Logging of Crude, Hydrotreater, Platformer and Utilities section to integrate the plant data base system and to evaluate the key performance indicators.
Acting as an interface among operation, Laboratory, Technical, Rotary, Stationary, Instrument, Electrical & Civildepartments of the company.
To handle plant Trouble shooting Start-up and Shut-Down of unit
Energy and Material balance of units
Vigilance and thorough checking of finished Products to ensure its quality / standard up to the mark.
Maintaining & preparation daily activities Log book & daily production report.
