Working as an Operations Engineer with Pak Arab Refinery Ltd., a State of The Art Refinery with 100,000 BPSD crude distilling capacity. Appointed on Diesel Max process unit (Mild hydrocracker) which employs unique combination of Catalytic Hydro-cracking [involving cracking in the presence of catalyst and hydrogen followed by distillation] ,Thermal Cracking [involving high temperature cracking followed by distillation] and Recycle gas scrubbing processes to convert Vacuum Gas Oil into low sulfur Diesel, Fuel oil, Naphtha and middle distillate.

Bsc.Chemical Engineering [With Specialization in Petroleum and Gas Technology] from Institute of Chemical engineering and technology, Punjab University Lahore. In 2001With aggregate 80.52% in A+ grade. [Over all first position)

Acquired A grades in HSC & matriculation standards

• Read and understand production, target and schedule, volume processed, volume to be processed, volume delivered, analyze losses of petroleum products and direct subordinates to adjust production rate & parameters to achieve production & quality targets.
• Observe DCS monitor data base from PICS to ensure smooth processing operations, operating parameters of critical plants and units are in the normal specified range, operators of the units are taking immediate action after receiving any warning signals/ alarms, start/ stop standby unit/pump, change pump/ storage tank, adjust operating parameters e.g. temperature, pressure, flow rate etc. and update log book.
• Ensure that the required shift staff is available on respective assigned duty in the unit. Manpower training, planning and rotations for multicarfting
• Identify operational problems including safety & environment issues, prepare a daily production report for shift hours, recommend solution to remove operational bottlenecks, improve personnel safety and forward to the superior.
• In case of fire, gas release or catastrophe, ensure application of emergency response plan and act as described in the plan.
• Implementing work permit system in safe execution of jobs to maintain HSE policies & Standards
