Professional Experience
Since the start-up of utilities is considered a commissioning operation, the real start-up phase begins with the introduction of the feedstock into the plant.
The start-up activities are therefore:
• Gas or oil in,
• Bringing the plant into operation,
• Performance tests, to prove the plant and equipment design capabilities, Products specifications, etc.
The only technical milestone corresponding to the start-up phase is the “OPERATIONAL CERTIFICATE” as the “Provisional Acceptance” and the “Final Acceptance” of the installation is contractual milestones which take place at points in time depending upon the type of contract.
