Professional Experience
Re: Rotating equipment specialist
I have a total of 45 years of experience within the engineering industries. I have a great deal of passion, skill and knowledge of my work. During my career I believe I have passed on this passion for engineering to my colleagues and trainees alike. I am therefore confident that I will contribute significantly to any company or organisation that employs me.
I am currently employed by Saudi Aramco I have worked within this company for 27 years. In August 2009 I will come to the end of my contract. I am a valuable source of technical knowledge, experience and multi-skills, particularly within in the maintenance repair aspect of the Oil & Gas Industry. I have extensive experience in all rotating equipment maintenance overhauls and repairs, quality assurance, testing and commissioning. Including high-pressure steam and power generation, shop repair work and mentoring/training. I am also fully conversant in Aramco repair procedures, protocols and GI’s, having helped develop some of them myself particularly on the aspects of training which proved successful in the early days of developing a new repair facility at that time (Northern Shops Division. Juaymah). I have performed numerous Health and Safety, First Aid/CPR presentations. Including fire prevention and work-permit training, also workshops generating awareness for good safe working practices.
Owing to jobs prior to Aramco, I also have vast previous experience in the manufacture of heavy duty gear boxes and hoisting equipment for the shipping industry, including the manufacture of Mass Production machinery, for the construction and glass industries.
A position in Technical management or supervision would allow me to apply my range of skills and expertise in a way that is has proven to be successful to my present and past employers. I enjoy learning and teaching new techniques as well as improving and developing ways of working. As such, I believe I would be a valuable asset for any future employer.
If you have any queries regarding my application and/or CV, please do not hesitate to contact me.
