ATKINS is the largest engineering consultancy in the UK, the largest multidisciplinary consultancy in Europe and the world’s eighth largest design firm. Our Sharjah branch comprises of more than 600 users and we are using variety of software and hardware. Our infrastructure includes Cisco router, Cisco switch, Nokia firewall, Cisco call manager, Servers of HP and Dell, ISA Server, Exchange Server, Veritas backup server, EPO Orchastator, WSUS, SQL Server, Web server, SAN and desktop or laptop of IBM, Dell and HP. We are using various engineering software of Bentley, Autodesk etc. We have an interoffice connectivity of 10 Mbps MPLS line and 4 Mbps leased line from the service provider. VOIP and Video conferencing facilities are provide to user for inter-office and intra-office communication.
Job Description:
Installation, Configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Servers:

Windows server 2003 operating system, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS etc
Exchange Server 2003, ISA Server 2004, SQL Server 2005.
License Server (FLEXLM, Bentley Select Server etc) and Print server.
Backup Server (backup scheduling, maintaining, restoring and planning disaster recovery procedures)
Administration of MacAfee EPO Orcastrator Server for antivirus security of the organization.
Administration of WSUS Server for automatically updating servers and desktop computer.
Handling of SAN for Data and file storage.
Maintain an inventory of all assets and Change Management.
In charge of software deployment and providing support for all software including engineering software like Autocad, Revit, PDMS, PDS, Microstation, MX Road, MX Rail, Geo Studio, MathCAD, CATIA, Hevacomp, AMTECH, Windes, Cadworks and lots of other software.
Leases with suppliers for proper support for software and hardware.
Provide technical support for escalated issue from helpdesk and first level support.
Handling and supervising proper implementation of software and Hardware.
Reporting to IT Manager and two subordinates are reporting to me.
IT-in-charge on absence of IT Manage.
