Off shore Mechanical Engineer – FA Platform

Maintenance management of the mechanical assets to achieve optimum plant availability
Initiation, control and execution of mechanical projects and key role-player in multidiscipline projects
Ensure that all relevant activities are carried out safely and in accordance with statutory regulations, Safety Management System and procedures.
Management of all mechanical planned and breakdown maintenance, shut down work, resources and materials planning, quality control, budgeting and cost control
Management of various vendors performing work on board
Vendor documentation and data review and evaluation
Drafting of various technical reports on equipment failure
Problem solving skills and recommendations
Commissioning of new and overhauled equipment
Investigation of asset performance parameters and failure modes
Review and maintain critical spares and equipment stock
Work order backlog reduction strategy implementation
Initiation, review and control of the mechanical permits-to-work
Machinery supervised includes: gas/diesel turbines (Siemens, Solar, Nuovo Pinone), gas/air compressors (Solar, Atlas Copco, Caterpillar, Ingersoll Rand), various type pumps, diesel engine systems, utilities, vessels under pressure including high pressure pipe installations, welding operations, structural maintenance, fire protection systems, hydraulic systems, chemical injection systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration (Grasso, Sulzer), cranes, RO watermaker, living areas and accommodation
Identify training requirements for subordinates
Ensure fair application of the company HR policies and procedures
Presentation of in-house training items to employees
Leading role in platform certificate of fitness (COF) activities
Leading role in safety audits and planning of safety related work
Task risk assessment compilation and execution of preventative and remedial work
SHEQ management for the mechanical scope of work including toolbox talks
Maintain and implement conditions and equipment and according to law
Incident investigation and preventative/remedial actions formulation and action
On-site co-ordination of emergency, rescue and support functions
