Professional Experience
Experience and responsibilities| Total is the world’s fourth largest Oil Exploration and Marketing Company with its operations in every major country of the world. Total’s endeavor in Pakistan, a joint venture with Pak-Arab Refinery, although young, as compared to the other oil marketing companies operating in the region, already commands a 3% market share in the retail business targeting an expansion of 39 retail outlets every year.
I have been working with Total Parco Pakistan limited for more than two years as a Logistics Executive, supervising nationwide supplies of fuel from five oil depots catering to an average monthly demand of 50 million liters, consumed through 180 filling stations and 1200 industrial customers. This is being managed through a fleet of 150 fuel tankers with a combined capacity of 4 million liters. Although it is a merger with PARCO but we are working with all the major refineries in Pakistan.
During my experience I have been responsible for redesigning and implementing tangible and effective KPI’s for all depots and transportation contractors to evaluate and improve the timely throughput of supply chain leading to higher customer satisfaction. Being directly involved with the freight billing and transportation loss calculations gave me the opportunity to design, implement and manage a data base to keep trace of all HSEQ incidents, Freight payments, shortage reimbursements, demurrage claims, fleet work groups and driver details to strengthen controls by having every information readily available at hand. My work at Total Parco also included management of company’s fleet over a vehicle tracking system. This brought up the requirement to develop a standardized reporting for the driving compliances and redesign the companies driving policies. During the same time I also carried out a complete market analysis of vehicle Tracking systems in Pakistan and suggesting finalizing a vehicle tracking system that could more appropriately meet the requirements of the company, in the most cost effective manner. My professional growth at TPPL has lead me to design national product movement plans, design reports for government bodies such as OGRA/OCAC and develop a command over the companies ERP, Access and Excel software’s for crucial analytical reports.
