Power control dispatcher
Determines percentage loading for each equipment of the network (power transformers, transmission lines, cables...etc.) and take the suitable decision.
Put the procedures for disconnecting any equipment of the network (Generation unit, power transformers, transmission lines, cables...etc.).
Load forecasting to prepare the suitable solution to overcome the hot points in the network.
Monitoring the percentage equipment loading to take the suitable decision for each (replace by higher MVA for transformers, higher cross section for cables…..etc)
Determines the loads which are disconnect by load shedding in case of generation shortage or other system contingency with its stages depending on the system frequency in accordance to pre-arranged methods.

Monitors and ensures continuous electricity supply for the Network, within the prescribed values of limit violations, giving priority to security and safety.
Monitoring network parameters and interchanges and execute coordination with connected networks to ensure safe and reliable operation of the grid.
To abide by the rules, guidelines and policies in regard to network operation.
To handle network activities during normal operations and contingencies
To co-ordinate tie lines outages as requested

Regulates the voltage and controls active & reactive power flow in the network
Directs the switching operations by giving instructions to field engineers for switching in the network
Attends to system faults and takes the necessary decisions then and there to restore the system to be back to normal and restores the supply (in case of power failures) at the earliest, limiting interruption to the minimum.
Keeping the voltage & frequency at the standard limits
Provide personnel and equipments safety.
Fast feeding of electrical supply to customers when disconnection of the electrical supply occurs due to fault case.
Monitoring the whole system on SCADA system to take the suitable action
Finding several electrical feedings for the important places (metro, hotels,….etc)
Operate the network to have the ideal case for operation.
Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor.
