Previous to my 7 and half years working within the Oil Industry, I served in the Armed Forces for 12 years. During this time I gained training with vehicle maintenance, fuel accounting, and driving instruction. Having to report to high ranking senior management within the forces directly. With a strong military background I gained high standards in routine and discipline, and have served overseas with the forces many times. I have worked for over 6 years in the Off-shore Drilling Industry, and 15 months in the Off-shore Construction Industry. My previous tasks involved compiling supply vessel manifests, ensuring the correct paperwork is sent to the correct people including any DG’s certificates, rental tools register upkeep, flight lists, POB lists, lookahead updating, all equipment not being used to be returned to owners, coordinating with deck foreman as to items to be returned, and generally assigning tasks that involve preparing the backloads of any equipment, also liaising with drilling storeman. In the construction role this was very similar, although I only compiled my own manifests for PSN related equipment, and coordinated equipment arriving using workpacks, and liaising with platform deck foreman as to any crane lifts to particular modules. With my disciplined attitude towards safe working practices and my diverse practical skills I can equally work on my own, or as part of a team. I am very keen to divert my skills as a hard worker, and keen learner. With experience through various Military postings, I am willing to travel to most regions worldwide. I’m confident that as I’m ex British Forces, and part of the best trained workforce in the UK, used to learning new skills, I would be a good candidate to be considered for many of the opportunities that may arise in the near future.
