Job Preparation Skills:
Prepare BHA sheet and fishing diagrams.

Supervise the make up and break down of BHA ensuring correct tong placement and torques are applied.

Ensure that all necessary surface testing of equipment is carried out before running in the hole.

Running the job skills
:
Run in the hole, monitor hole problems and take appropriate remedial action.
Operate basic steerable systems in rotary and perform minor corrections.

Run single shots and surveys as required.

Calculate and plot survey information on well plan.

Project well path to target.

Knowledge & Abilities:

Experience: North Dakota South Dakota, Montana, Texas, New Mexico, Utah,Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana (inland and offshore) New York, Pennsylvania, Wyoming

In depth knowledge of drilling rigs, Directional Drilling, wellbore mechanics.

Computer skills, MWD tools and surface systems (Excel, Word,Winserve,Windows XP WindowsVista,Performance Drilling Systems,Power Point, Outlook)
Good written & verbal communication skills.

Capable of making cost efficient decisions.

Able to work with and direct day to day activities of others.

Course work towards a degree in Business Administration.
