I am working as a metallurgist in a aluminum plant, with the main responsibility of supervising casting lab and quality of liquid and solid metal. In addition, I manage metal additives and design of casting processes.
I was a technical and development manager in the chemical process/manufacturing industry for more than 7 years. During that time, I managed various projects in manufacture, product development, quality control, standardization, computer solutions, customer service, supply management, and sales. I also arranged and supervised education courses, lectures, consulting, and technical support for clients and coworkers. Another important part of my job was to deal with suppliers regarding both development and production.
I worked as a risk and currency specialist in an investment bank, with a special focus on managing foreign debt (current portfolio is about 3,5 billion USD). Moreover, I developed various computer systems to estimate suitable risk profile and to price a variety of financial instruments, e.g. options and swaps.

I have a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Denmark’s Technical University. I mastered widespread knowledge in many areas of chemical engineering, including process technology, unit operations, and designing various thermo-dynamical models. My final project thesis was about simulating purification of gas with active coals.
I have a MBA in global management from Thunderbird, USA. My focus in the States was global finance, including multinational corporate finance, international securities investments, portfolio, and risk management. Moreover, I studied global operation management, e.g. operations strategy, value analysis/value engineering, and six-sigma methodology. I was also able to establish a superb overview and preparation in corporate strategy, leadership, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication. Moreover, I received a special exposure dealing with complex global corporate deals, risk evaluation, asset allocation, style analysis, and price valuations.

I have a FROSIO certification according to NS 476, as an inspector for surface preparations and corrosion protection.

I have extensive computer and programming experience. I designed and created various business requirements into databases and queries, mostly in Microsoft Access and Excel. In addition, I have experience using various financial tools, e.g. Reuters, Bloomberg, Barra, Ibbotson, and Zephyr.
I have an Icelandic citizenship, which should provide me efficient work permits all over Europe. Moreover, I did receive one-year work permit in the US. My native language is Icelandic and I am fluent in English and Danish. Moreover, I am efficient in Norwegian, Swedish, and German.
