Professional Experience
I have been working on Shell Pearl GTL Project, Qatar since Dec, 2007.My major responsibilities are to lead the implementation of project policies and practices in organization and in three associated sub-contractor companies including Hazmat, NFPA and Waste Management.Implementation of ISO 14001 EMS on the project and improving this system through frequent internal and external audits.Carrying out Risk Assessment of Handling, Storage and Spillages of various chemicals with special emphasis on bulk fuel storage tanks, Hazardous chemicals storage, gas cylinders and blasting and painting yards.Conducting training sessions on Chemicals Safety, Blasting and Painting, Environmental Spill Response plan (ESRP), NFPA, and basic awareness of COSHH for chemical handlers and blasters to address occupational health problems and to avoid air and land contamination. Previosly I was working with SGS Pakistan Ltd as Environmental Enbgineer. My major responsibilities include: Environmental monitoring (Stack emissions, Noise level, Effluent, Potable and Process water analysis etc.) with subsequent writing a technical reports on the basis of
ISO 14001 requirements.Chemical analysis of Potable water, Surface water and Waste water in accordance to USEPA & APHA approved methods using range of instruments e.g., Atomic Absorption for metals in water, Spectrophotometer for Phenolic compounds, iron and sulphur components, and Gas Chromatograph for organic compounds.Baseline studies for the installation of waste water treatment plant
