Reporting to Manager - ITS. I’m responsible for:
• Intelligent Transportation Systems (Traffic Management & Information Systems) such as Urban Traffic Control system that controls approximately 116 traffic junctions on a grid network.
• Installation and commissioning of traffic control and central computer systems at Abu Dhabi Municipality.
• Operation and maintenance of traffic signal project including central traffic management and ITS systems.
• Installation of Traffic Counting, Vehicle Detection, Red Light Violation, CCTV, Parking Management Systems.
• Checking the key processes of servers, reviewing logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
• Daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware and server resources.
• Weekly backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed for repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
• Providing hands-on training on ITS systems to Emirati national’s trainee engineers.
• Preparing feasibility reports, technical submittal etc.
• Meeting and correspondence with the clients/consultants to meet requirement/changes in scope and function.
