Oil Market Analyst

The main objective of my position is to calculate the prices of Venezuelan crude by means of empirical relationships dependent on international benchmark crudes.

David Sanchez Rodriguez has a degree in Geophysical Engineering from the Simon Bolivar University, Caracas, Venezuela, where he later gained experience in geotechnics for TRX Consulting C.A.
One of the major geophysical projects undertaken by him was the fourth bridge over the Orinoco River, for the Pre comprimidos de Venezuela. He was responsible for the acquisition, processing and interpretation of geophysical data acquired with GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar), which led to the modification of the planned location of the bridge due to geological features that went up in the final evaluation. He always sought the most successful investment in the analysis of the results.
After the previous project, he was in charge of the mineral exploration carried out from April 2007 until the end of January 2008 in the area of El Callao, Bolivar State, Venezuela, where he drew his final project "Implementation of high resolution gravimetric method for mineral exploration " to get his degree in geophysical engineering. In this project he took full responsibility for its development and final interpretation correlating the geophysical data with the geological information of the area. The main objective was to locate shallow intrusive bodies associated to gold mineralization, with the purpose of establishing the startup of the mine that had lost production capability. Additionaly he worked as an assistant in numerous field projects for further geophysical exploration applied to civil engineering, identifying and locating urban services, faults and solid rock for the placement of pilings for buildings and for tunnels.
David Sanchez is currently working in Vienna, Austria, as an oil market analyst for Energy and Petroleum Resources Services GmbH (EPRS) which is a subsidiary of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum of Venezuela. He was involved in a project to audit the sales of Venezuelan crude oils in international markets. For this position he was trained in the Paraguana Refinery Center in all aspects related to refining processes and economics, crude and product qualities, and their impact in the value of crude oil.
David is entitled to work in the European Union due to the fact he has an European Passport.
