Mechanical Technician / SAP Work Preparator
Onboard Shell’s Nelson Platform as a member of the Sigma3 Core Crew Maintenance Team.
Responsible for carrying out maintenance, repair and testing on various offshore static and rotating mechanical systems. i.e. Gas Turbines, Firepumps, Gas Compressors, MOL Export and Booster Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps etc.
Carry out troubleshooting on routine and complex faults along with condition monitoring on platform equipment.
Also involved in the continious maintenance of all platform safety equipment.
PA Competent in the ISSOW permit system operated by Shell and conduct Tool Box Talks, Stop audits, Risk Assessments, use of STOP and TRIC cards. As work Preparatory I am responsible to plan the work in SAP for all trade disciplines and liase with onshore support to ensure any vendors required have been added to the relevant 14 / 28 / 90day plan, and ensure all material will be available to complete the tasks.
Platform Shutdown Focal Point for all Maintenance Work to be carried out during the forthcoming 2009 shutdown, which includes planning, preparing work orders in SAP and ensure all materials have been requested, all permit and isolations are made up in ISSOW etc.
Member of the Emergency Response Team.
