My name is Bassim Aliloom, a seismic structural engineer from NZ with 23 years experience in computer modelling, structural analysis and design for large scale projects including Doha Convention Centre & Tower - Qatar, Wembley Stadium & Royal Ascot Racecourse UK, Westfield Albany Shopping/Cinema Complex & Pacific Events Centre NZ, Power Plants Nicaragua, Kenya, Philippines & Bangladesh.
Now I'm based with ATKINS Middle East handling projects in Dubai. Prior to joining ATKINS in 2008, he was based in Qatar and NZ undertaking technical and managerial roles on large scale projects. I have design and construction experience for stadiums, arenas, shopping centres, high rise buildings and power plants projects. Since transferring to ATKINS Middle East in 2008, I have been responsible for technical issues associated with lateral stability, seismic, analysis and design of large scale projects and hi-rise towers. I was selected to attend ATKINS Conference 2008 during September 2008 in London, UK as Technical Associate from ME Region.
