Schlumberger Field Engineer

To achieve Full time position as a Drilling Engineer. And to get the best results with lot of Hardwork and Techonology

I am working as a Field Engineer in Drilling and Measurements. My job includes calibration, programming and running MWD-LWD tools (Direction and Inclination, Resisitivity, Gamma Ray, Nuclear and Sonic Tools). Dumping the data from the tool and delivering the onsite logs to the client. It also includes Log Interpretation and well site reporting and logistics, preparation of logging unit and installation of surface sensors. I was responsible for the overall health and safety on the rig.

In the office I am responsible for preparation of the tools for differnt rigs. And making recorded mode Logs and presentation to the client.

General Duties
• Develop pre-job operating skills
• Check and calibrate equipment
• Select proper specific tools and equipment
• Plan contingency for potential problems
• Manage crew for efficient operations
• Maintains appropriate grades for technical training classes
Well site Duties

• Coordinate job procedures with customer representative
• Supervise equipment assembly and rig up
• Obtain data and check validity
• Distribute logging data as required
• Supervise disassembly and rig down
Safety/Compliance
• STOP job on location or at district when unsafe conditions observed
• Maintain control and adhere to regulatory compliance (explosives, radiation)
• Understand and comply with safety practices and procedures for operational tasks (pressure control, explosives, lifting certifications, radiation)
• Driving safely for road conditions to and from location, Journey management
• Conduct well site pre job safety meeting
Technical Operations
• Performs troubleshooting of equipment
• Responsible for basic equipment maintenance
• Inventory all tools and surface acquisition systems per job
• Obtain all off –set or prior run well information
• Engage and verify customer requirements, obtain terms and conditions signature
• Prepare communication systems

• “Extraction of Methane from Gas Hydrates Using Anaerobic Archae Bacteria (OTC 18551 PP)” selected in Offshore Technology Conference held on 30th April 2007 to 3rd May 2007 in Houston, TX.
• “Methane from Gas Hydrates Using Methanogens” (SPE 106718 PP) selected for Production Operation Symposium on 31st March 2007 to 3rd April 2007 in Oklahoma City, USA.
• Working on a paper Titled, “Prevention of Differential Pipe Sticking Using Drilling Centralizer.”

I believe that �There is no substitute to Hardwork and Engineering.� I aspire to work extremely hard and be completely honest to my job. I feel that being a Petroleum Engineer I have better idea of the rig operations. I have published two paper on Gas Hydrates (innovative Approach) in Offshore Technology Conference (OTC 18551 PP) and Production Symposium (SPE 106718 PP). I have been actively participating in many competitions and have won prizes all over India. If Modesty is not the Virtue I have done complete justice to my present job by working hard not only during the training but also while performing the job. I aim at developing my knowledge and skills to the extend that my job is flawless and appreciated. I am completely dedicated and loyal person. If given a chance I shall be the Best choice and shall always keep the honour of my words
