Senior Quality Assurance Officer
• Lead in the construction of four main workshop buildings at the plant site which involved a lot of sheet metal work on the walling and the roofs. This involved drilling of the undercover sheets that are fastened and reinforced on the outer top roof.
• Installed heat treatment furnaces which involved forming their main body sheet metal works by bending, riveting, seam welding, filing , sand papering and blasting and lastly painting.
• Did a lot of seam welds on joints of hoppers being used in the smelting furnaces for lead scrap.
• Lead a team of sheet metal workers in the bending and forming of major joints from sheet metals of 2 mm thick that was used in high pressure water pipes bend joints.
• I did lot of blue printing of major machine parts and components for easier understanding and interpretation of my team mates in the process of installations.
• Assisted junior staffs in interpreting the complex drawing dimensions and also trained them on how to use high precision measuring equipments such as micrometer screw gauges, height gauges and vernier callipers all of which am very complex at using.
• Trained 150 staffs at the plant on ISO 9001:2000 awareness and implementation of the system leading to Kenya Bureau of Standards Certification of the plant which up to now meets the Nato standards in engineering accreditation.

• Supervised the construction of Kipkenyo Sewage Plant which involved initial designs, amendments and close quality control checks. It involved laying of underground ducts made from stainless steel sheets of mainly 5mm thick. I carried out a of lot x-ray checks on the pipes to ensure that no leakages occurred upon installations.
• Carried out a major Process evaluation at the Chebara dam which supplies water to the entire Eldoret Municipality. The steel pipes had started rusting and leaking and I had to study the entire layout and recommended the insertion of plastic sheaths in the inner side walls which stopped the leakages completely and saved the corporation the cost of complete overhauling of the pipeline.
