PROJECT
Title : Process intensification of lipase catalyzed vegetable oil hydrolysis.
Duration : 1 year (Jun¡¦06-May¡¦07)
Description : The study was based on lipase-catalyzed hydrolysis of vegetable oil (Castor Oil). The lipase catalyzed enzymatic hydrolysis reactions, were carried out with water in oil emulsion with optimum utilization of enzyme. Further, simultaneous reaction and separation in a membrane reactor increases overall conversion and reduces cost of the process.
