Professional Experience
Job Description:(QA/QC MECH./welding inspector)
-Monitor and maintain control records for welding consumable and welder performance record.
-Inspect pipe fit-ups, alignment and visual inspection of all welds.
-Carrying Welder’s Qualification Tests.
-Ensure implementation of Quality Control Plans and procedures.
-Fit up inspection, Welding Inspection Before, during & after Welding.
-Weld consumable control etc.
-Final dimensional inspection.
-Review of Isometric Drawings & ensure Approved WPS as well as Qualified welders are available.
-Co-ordination with Clients and NDT Sub contractors.
-Ensure that approved WPS are followed.
-Prepare daily inspection reports.
-Interpret/Review NDT reports and maintains all related file and records.
-Ensure that Inspection / Testing equipments at site are with valid calibration.
-Co-ordination with Client inspector for daily welding activities and for stage inspection.
-Developing Quality documents such as Contract Quality Plan, Quality Control Plan, Method statements and approval from Client
-Review of Sub-Contractors Contact Quality Plan, Quality Control Plan, NDT Procedures
-Raising and Resolving Non-conformance Reports
-Review of Materials / Consumables Test Certificates
-Ensure that the Internal & External Quality Audits are carried out as per the Schedule
-Supervise the welder qualification Test with client representative and Monitoring of Welder performance
-Already familiar with the QA/QC system, PQP, Aramco checklists for welding
-Taking exposure in International and ARAMCO standards –required for our daily activities.
-Perform Mechanical inspection, pipe spool/pipeline hydrotesting, valve testing, pipe bending, pipe lowering and holiday testing, calibration of PZVs/ Pressure Gauges.
-Familiar with SATIP/SAIC/SATR and Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards.
-Knowledge of QMIS, RFI System.
-Calibration of Pressure Gauges and Relief Valves for Hydrotesting.
-Monitoring QA/QC Personnel during inspection of Bending, Stringing and Hydrotesting of Valves.
-Implement Saudi Aramco Checklist (SATIP/SATR)
-Attending punch list items to finish project scope.
-Prepare pre-hydrostatic test package and witness hydrostatic testing ensure all checklist items are complete prior commence of test and to acceptance of test.
