Baker Petrolite is a leader in oil/water separation technology and in solutions to control corrosion and deposition. The Company provides oilfield services mainly chemical technology solutions for hydrocarbon production, transportation and processing. I was involved in different departments of the company including Analytical, Integrity Management (corrosion control technologies), Synthesis, Flow Assurance (scale and hydrate control) and Industrial (Refineries) Services. My placement demonstrated the importance of building good client relationships, and gave me experience of meeting deadlines and working under pressure in an office environment.

Responsibilities: The Community Ambassador Scheme involves befriending and mentoring local school pupil from disadvantaged backgrounds who are considering entry into HE.
