May to November 2008: Areas covered:
Project management in water pumping systems, storage equipment, plumbing designs, swimming pools, water and sewage treatment, hot and cold water systems, boilers, compressed air systems, fire fighting, kitchen and laundry equipment, petrol stations, liquefied petroleum gas installations and medical gases, mechanical ventilation and air conditioning designs and refrigeration systems.






Duties:
• Assist in supporting, guiding and participating in modifications, improvements, installations, testing and commissioning the various government projects.
• Working closely with engineers and in collaboration with the project managers and other ministerial departments to develop, design, map and implement the projects as per agreements.
• Ensuring achievement of project output as per approved standards and internal work plans, successful implementation and in line with project timelines.
• Motivate, supervise and develop teamwork among contractors as well as production of periodical reports on the contractors’ performance.
• Ensuring that the contractors comply with the engineering quality, safety, health and environmental standards.
SONY SUGAR COMPANY (Trainee)
June to September 2007: Duties:
• Fabrication and welding.
• Machining operations.
• Undertaking major and routine maintenance, overhaul and repairs of plant and equipment.
• Quality control and inspection of engineering inventories.
• Working closely with maintenance leaders and equipment operators to monitor performance of equipment and machinery to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
• Ensuring compliance with technical and safety, health and environmental standards together with the general regulations and procedures.
