Duties:
- Plan, program, schedule and coordinate the execution of well construction activities on the rigs/hoists under my control to deliver “Fit for purpose”, quality wells on time and within budget.
- Responsible for the engineering design of wells, taking into account well integrity, G & G objectives, past experience, Well Engineering and Drilling standards.
- Make time and cost estimates; schedule materials; communicate and review specific operations with the Drilling Contractors and Service Contractors; solicit feedback and prepare Drilling programs.
- Prepare the Well Engineering design of wells in conformance with the Corporate & Functional Code of Practices and Procedures, including structured risk analysis for high exposure operations.
- Enhance the design and programming quality of drilling activities by optimizing proven techniques and practices and implementing new technology and innovative operating methods; evaluate and report results; contribute to the development, upgrading and maintenance of drilling and completion standards.
