Professional Experience
My responsibilities include but not limited to: Contingency plan; To ensure that all technical and logistic services are in conformity to contractual specifications and satisfaction.
Ensure that accurate positioning, good quality signals, noise-free data, and expected fold of coverage are achieved.
Ensure that accurate data are supply for routine audits, and that all operations are carried out using documented safe procedures
Routine daily streamer tests (HSSQ), continuity checks are carried before deployment,
Ensure that there are no misfires, such as any gun not firing, auto-fire, loss of gun trigger, time break or magnetic recording, and that expected gun air pressure are applied.
Ensure that the feathering angle is within tolerable limits.
Visually check monitor record on bad polarity, dead traces, drifted stations or poor signal strength, frequency, among others.
• Ensure that an error free and unambiguous bin-in data, shooters listing are generated, and issued.
• Ensure that subsurface full-fold coverage simulation aligned with contractual specifications.
• Ensure that you perform the daily/week/month database backups in order to prevent data loss.
• Plan re-drill shot points (cut charge), re-positioning for bad shot & miss–fire while maintaining required fold coverage. Generate pre & post subsurface coverage plots for Clients.
• Coordinate planning and offset movements for efficient surveys.
In addition, My primary responsibility in this role is the processing of 3D seismic data acquisition for Chevron Nigeria Ltd. My day-to-day tasks included:
• On-board seismic data processing using ProMax software.
• Running of instrument tests, compilation of SPS files, check for header errors, skipped shots, noise, and timing errors.
• QA/QC of 3D Seismic data, acquisition geometry and field geometry processing statics/profiles.
Again, • Drilling Engineer, Duties; Supervision and co-ordination of drilling at various terrains in the Niger Delta area, Nigeria.
• Collection, sorting and classification of drilling samples.
• Execution of down-the-hole (geophysical) video logging
