DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT CURRENTLY WORKING:
The objective of this project is to Provide Drinking water and Irrigation to the extent of 6.90 lakh acres. Causing inundation of 16.785 Ha (41.478 acres) By the 20 and 42 Km tunnels from Srisailam foreshore by using the Latest German technology South India’s first Tunnel Boring Machine (T.B.M.) with the diameter of 7.00M and Length of 18.0Km which can discharge around 90 Cusecs of water after completion The (T.B.M) system is designed to erect a full reinforced concrete segmental bolted ting, 6+1 key, within the rear tail shield of the TBM.
A hoist, with mechanical pick up takes the segments to the segment magazine for forwarding to the segment creator. A single 6 degrees of freedom movement’s segment creator with mechanical pick-up system is provided to erect the lining. Operating functions are controlled from an interface proof radio control station and a fixed station-both with priority safety interlocks.
