Employed as Instrument Supervisor ensuring that all field technical equipment (FTE) is fit for purpose and deployed successfully to the field worldwide. Responsible for pre-deployment preparation of all equipment and technical personnel, as well as supporting every technical aspect of field operations. Field technical staff report functionally to the Instrument Supervisor via the crew Senior Observer.

Duties included:
Engineer in charge of seismic operations in Nigeria
Assisting setting up new location for the company’s operations
Field acquisition of downhole seismic data on offshore drilling installations in deep water
Liaising with client: both pre-job onshore and during and post-job offshore
Maintenance of all offshore logging equipment including surface electronics and computer systems, downhole electronics and seismic sources

Senior Field Seismic Engineer, Jan 2000 – 2005

Employed on a rotational basis (ex-pat) in Africa. Duties included:
Field acquisition of borehole seismic data on offshore drilling installations in ultra-deep water
Well site processing of VSP data after acquisition
Maintenance of all seismic offshore logging equipment including acquisition systems (hardware and software upgrades), downhole electronics and seismic marine sources
Mobilisation of equipment and crew for various jobs
