Pressure Systems Inspector/ NDT Inspector.

To expand my knowledge of the inspecion industry.

Sabic Polyethylenes B.V. Pressure System Inspection. My duties covered inspection of piping systems within both the Wilton complex and the North Tees Logistics site. I was assigned to the EHS Critical Piping Project
where it was my responsibility to register piping systems that had previously not been registered. Review inspection drawings and extract piping information from structural drawings, P & I D's, line lists etc, walking the lines and looking for any signs of external corrosion/damage, taking photographs and designating areas for NDT inspection, Submitting findings/reports to appropriate departments and entering information onto spreadsheets/data bases.
Whilst under taking my duties at Sabic I also studied/attended and sat the API 570 course with Matthews Engineering Training Ltd.

Alcan Power Station, Unit 3 shutdown August 2007

BASF, As well as NDT surveys I was also employed to inspect vessels, heat exchangers, columns and associated piping systems.

Corus 42”Pipemill, Inspection of various size pipes by employing UT, Rad , Uvmpi , & Mpi methods also familiar with in house visual inspection.

Rig Blast Group, Azerbaijan. Cross checking of previously inspected welds by means of U.T plus supervision of local M,P,I & D,P,I technicians on the Shah Deniz Gas Export Project, Zykh Construction Yard, Baku.

Conoco Phillips, Examination of oil storage tanks, checking both floor and roof for signs of corrosion/defects by means of Magnetic Flux Leakage or in cases of pitting a depth gauge. After having any area repaired it was inspected by either vacuum box or MPI depending on the specifications for the job. During the August 2004 shutdown my duties were to examine pipelines for corrosion by both thickness checking and visual inspection also radiography of any new pipe work.

R.M.I,as. Norway. Subcontracted to Statoil on the Troll Upgrade Project at Kolsnes. Radiography being the main means of inspection.

Swan Hunters, I was involved in the inspection of fabricated components on a M.O.D vessel (troop carrier) by means of UT, Rad, Mpi and Dpi at both Haverton Hill and Wallsend.

Corus 42” Pipe mill, Inspection of pipes by use of U/T, fluorescent & contrast Mpi.
