My objective is to further my career in the oil and gas industry, by working abroad and gaining international experience.

I have been working Drilling Rigs for a year now, and have found the career i was looking for. Jobs that are included in what i do on a day to day basis are,

Report all incidents, accidents, near misses and hazards to the driller as per the requirements of the HSE policies and procedures.
Assist in drilling operations such as tripping pipe, using tongs, slips, elevators and handling equipment safely and properly.
Assist with the preparation of drill string, drill collars, and associated drill stem components including testing & logging equipment as directed by the driller.
Assist the Derrickhand with mud mixing operations.
Ensure all tools and fittings are cleaned and properly stored. Identify loss of or damage to equipment and report to the Driller.
Ensure rig floor is clean and all equipment or tools are collected and stored in their appropriate location.
Perform general maintenance duties such as painting or scrubbing around the rig.
Assist in the rig up upon arrival to, and rig down process upon departure from wellsite locations as per the direction of Driller or Rig Manager.
Perform other manual tasks as per the direction of the Driller.
Comply with all company and client policy and procedures including adherence to all HSE requirements.
