Career Objective
Chemical/process engineer
Professional Experience
I am a South African process engineer. I attained a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pretoria in 2004.
I started working in January 2005 at Anglo Platinum as a Metallurgist. My duties included surveying platinum floatation plants, doing mass balances and reporting the results. In September 2006 I moved on to Fluor as a process engineer. Part of my duties includes petrochemical design, setting up P&ID, process simulation and HAZOP studies. Projects that I have been involved with are a pipeline project for Petronet and various projects around a “coal to liquid” refinery for SASOL. I also worked for a few months in Calgary, Canada on new refinery development for Irving Oil. I have been working for 4 years and I would like to broaden my horizon by working in different parts of the world.
