The project was to design a long-term Consumer Substation for UMaT with the vision of meeting the energy consumption of the near future due to the excessive infrastructure development.

Description of Duties/Achievements
Determination of the present power consumption.
Developed a mathematical tool for forecasting possible future power consumption
Proposed a suitable location/site for the implementation of the design.
Devised an effective means of earthing the proposed design.
Designed the electrical layout drawings.
Proposed suitable protective systems for the design.
Made a seminar presentation on the research topic.

October 2008 – Present
Working For: Volta River Authority (Kpone Thermal Power Project)
Position: Electrical/Instrumentation and Control Site Inspector
Reporting To: Electrical Engineering Co-ordinator

This project was focused on constructing a 230MW Gas Thermal Power Plant and other supporting structures including; the administration block, employees’ facility buildings, site offices, paving of access roads etc.
Description of Duties/Achievements
Evaluated and reviewed design calculations and plant drawings submitted by contractors to VRA for approval prior to construction.
Conduct regular site inspection and co-ordinate field activities with design changes to ascertain that the ongoing project is as approved.
Packaging Logistics- responsible for receiving, stock taking and storing of parts of the Gas Turbine and Generator set as per storage conditions. Provision of as-stored layout of GT and Generator parts.
Weather Station Installation- erection and instrumentation of a weather station as well as record keeping and analysis of daily weather data.
Reviewed Electrical Wiring Drawing for VRA-Staff Site Office Complex at KTPP.
Supervised Electrical Wiring for VRA-Staff Site Office Complex at KTPP
