Perform all the quality control aspects according to the documents (codes, standards, specifications, drawings, ...) that covers the steel structures, equipments, platewoks, piping and any other fabricated products by welding or any other process.

Working as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer (QA/QC Department) in DSD FERROMETALCO Company (DSD); In The New Doha International Airport project site (NDIA) in Qatar.
***My Duties and Responsibilities:
*Inspection of the received materials and then the storage of it.
*Checking the alignment (level and verticality) of the steel works.
*Preparing the preliminary bolt test for slip critical connections.
*Checking the proper erection of the steel works (mark no., position, and orientation).
*Checking the proper tightening of bolts.
*Checking the proper application of welding / repair
processes.
*Checking the application of NDT processes.
*Checking the proper application of painting works.
*Recording the erection progress.
*Preparing / revising the reports for each task of these activities.
&
*Verifying the documents of the materials.
*Assuring that all technicians and workers are fulfilling their tasks correctly.
*Checking welder facilities and tools needed for welding.
*Checking electrode type, size & record of batch number.
*Checking fit-up of the joint before start welding operation as per the detailed drawing (root gap, bevel angle, surface mismatch).
*Checking the welding parameters as required by the WPSs.
*Verifying the in-process inspections according to the approved Inspection &Test Plan (ITP).
*Checking the application of the required NDTs.
*Preparing the QC documents related to the daily schedule.
*Visual inspection of welds and base metal.
*Checking the dimensions of the products during assembly and after completion of the fabrication.

Bachelor's degree of METALLURGY-MATERIAL ENGINEERING

I have got level II in the following NDT methods (SNT-TC-1A):

* Radiographic Film Interpretation (RT),
* Ultrasonic Testing of Welds (UT),
* Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and
* Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
