Career Objective
Process shift Engineer in Khalda Petroleum Company (joint venture between Egyptian Petroleum Corp. & Apache Corp.)
Sept 2004 till present date as a Process shift Engineer in Salam Gas Plant. (7 days on / 7 days off rotation schedule)
Professional Experience
•Participated in the preparation of Salam gas plant turn around shutdown plans carried out through shutdown meetings, outstanding items list, process isolation procedures and isolation registers for all units or vessels.
•Attended construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning of new Qasr gas development project conducted by JP Kenney, England, ITP, Italy and VONK PLC software.
•Attended the construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up of remote areas nodal compressors; Shams & Tut Nodal Compressors (Ariel compressor & Waukesha engine).
Process shift Engineer:
•Supervise 1 Operation Coordinator, 2 DCS Operators & 5 operators per shift. (12 hrs).
•Field Studies to increase productivity, enhance the specifications, and decrease the losses of solvents or flaring.
•Trouble Shooting of Operation Problems.
•Conduct technical daily, weekly, monthly, annually reports.
•Participate in the preparation for the different shutdowns
•Attend the operations meetings for process debottlenecking.
•Normal operation and troubleshooting with very good knowledge of DCS “Honeywell”.
•Reporting the daily production report & process activities to the main head office in Cairo.
•Report and arrange with maintenance crew for equipment maintenance and any equipment failure.
•Follow up all PM's & CM's for all the equipment in the plant.
•Carry out process isolation procedures and isolation registers for any unit or vessel.
Process Engineer
•June 2006 till present date as a commissioning Engineer in General Gas Dept. Engineering Section in KPC Cairo office (Part time during my week off).
•Review of in-house engineering works including process calculations, drawings, PFD and P&ID development, vendor's proposal studies, streams Specifications and Data Sheets for the new project at Salam to establish new gas processing plant that capable to produce 200 MMSCFD of sales gas and 16,000 BPD of Condensate (SGT3 & 4).
•Follow up the design works of consultants for the new project.

The Plant is Producing 200 MMSCFD of sales gas and 13,700 BPD of condensate, Constructed by Samsung Eng. Company LTD.
The facilities consist of :
* About 20 Gas wells are controlled from control room through telemetry sys. , fiber optic cable connection & remote terminal unit (BACKER hydraulic control panel – FMC & Cameroon Christmas trees 5,000 Psig)
* Two similar trains each train consists of:
- Three phase inlet High pressure & slug catcher.
- Gas Coalescer Filter (PALL)
- Mercury Removal unit (Variable valency metal sulfide - Johnson Matthey).
- Gas dehydration unit (TEG, Structured Packing Column - NAT. Co).
- Gas dew pointing unit (Turbo expander, JT valve, Brazed Aluminum Plat-Fin Heat exchanger - Atlas Copco).
- Gas sweetening unit (Two stages Membrane Unit, consists of 5 skids, contain 924 Spiral-Wound permeators – UOP).
- Gas compression (4 Centrifugal compressors - GHH Borsig & 2 X one stage Reciprocating compressors - Mitsui).
* Condensate stabilization & Storage: 18 valve trays stabilizer column – two thermo siphon reboilers - two heat exchangers (shell & tube)– gas boot - 3 x 15,000 bbl conical roof storage tanks - Automatic condensate Production depth measuring (ENRAF system).
