Position: Project Estimation Manager
Leading a group of Engineers as Estimation Department Manager
Career Highlights: Won in last three years more than 120 Million US$ projects which was almost full capacity
Responsibilities: Reports to the General Manager directly, leading a group of Estimation Engineers (Four).
Receives the RFQ (Request for Quotations) from clients directly, quickly reviews and assigns the Estimation Engineer, gets the acknowledgment done through the Engineer in charge, guides the engineer for possible inputs with regards to design, material prices, sub-suppliers inputs (rubber lining, heat treatments, transportation to site, etc. ).
Reviews the quotations prepared by the engineers and guides them in finalizing all aspects of contract to the satisfaction of clients and parent company.
Reviews preliminary design, bill of materials, pricing, sourcing sub-suppliers, contract review meetings, labor hours, painting hours, weld consumables, non-destructive testing costs, site equipment and labor costs (if applicable), guidance during preparation of proposals, preparation of preliminary schedules, filling up of preliminary data sheets, Non-material requirement forms, reply to all clarifications from client, kick-off meetings for projects awarded.
Site visits, attending meetings with clients for technical clarifications, commercial negotiations both local and internationally.
Negotiates with the clients on the technical and commercial matters until contract is awarded in favor of company,
Conducts kick-off meetings for awarded projects and briefing all concerned Managers explaining the details of the project on technical, commercial, contractual obligations, delivery requirements. Interactions with clients via e-mails, conference calls, personal visits with regards to new inquiries, clarifications to quoted inquiries, job explanation meetings, negotiations.

Summary: Having served such companies like AlZamil Heavy Industries Ltd for nine years successfully and other similar companies, I have gained tons of experience and confidence in handling a Senior Position with ease to the best satisfaction of the management & our clients.
Also I have the capacity to design the Vessels, Tanks myself using the latest softwares which serves as a cross check to the design done by Engineers working under me. Situation demanding I have demonstrated to do the complete estimation myself including the design, material take off, pricing, proposal preparation very quick and sharply to fill some gaps or to satisfy some urgent Management needs for some important clients not depending upon the Engineering department who normally are busy in executing the ongoing projects.
I do possess good knowledge about the material prices normally & specially in these financial crisis situations and follow carefully the price trends by keeping abreast with London Metal Exchange, good rapport with Steel Mills, Main Stockiest without depending upon the Procurement Department.
