Steve Staley has over 20 year’s experience of mechanical engineering, project development and management. Much of Steve’s knowledge starting with an Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universal Technical Institute in Houston Texas, Comes from understanding and expertise that has been gained through employment opportunities in Africa, Middle East, Asia, South America, Central America, and North America.
21 years of utilizing his skills and natural multitasking abilities saw an undertaking of multiple projects ranging not only in the Petroleum industry, but from the Mining to Petrochemical industry as well.
As a result, it was these experiences and opportunities that were responsible for his rapid advancement because his techniques, multifaceted work skills and reputation assisted his 100% success rates. Natural progression lead him into project management where in 1998 as part of a small but growing team of multi-disciplined individuals, project management was undertaken because standard operating procedures had failed and the risks of failure were eminent. In 2000 Steve commenced private contract management which has included Project Management in industries such as Oil Sands, Oil Exploration, Heavy Fabrication, Petrochemical plant commissioning, offshore oil & gas production, and Civil Construction. These projects led to negotiations with one of the main Defense Based Contractors controlling the restructuring of Iraq. 2006 saw Steve as the Project Manager for US$145 million well completion and rehabilitation program in Iraq.
It was this project that the Southern Oil Company of Iraq and the United States Government identified Steve as being highly professional and breaking all existing Workover records in the region because of being 40% ahead of schedule, and an unheard of 15% below budget.
