Experienced chemical/process engineer

A position suited to my qualifications experience

• Forty years of experience in the oil & gas industry that includes twenty five (25) years as a regular employee of Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) with particular emphasis in Process design, operations, commissioning, and construction of various refinery units, gas and oil separation facilities, gas gathering and compression units, desalting units, oil and gas production facilities, petrochemical plants, seawater and produced water injection plants; oil & gas and water flowlines and cross country pipelines, environmental facilities that included water treatment facilities, smokeless flares etc. Major tasks included supervision of engineering and construction by contractors, conceptual and feasibility studies, technology selection and development, major revamps, design, start-up and commissioning of new and revamped units. Developed process studies, reviewed facilities design and basic engineering packages (BEP) to upgrade heavy tar sand bitumen, oil, gas and water facilities. I have successfully prepared and managed budgets of $45-$50 million per year. Some of my recommendations implemented in 1985 and later continue to result in savigs to this day.

• I currently hold the position of Senior Supervising Design Engineer at SOFCON Consulting Engineering Co. In the past I have held key positions as Lead Senior Process Engineer, Engineering Specialist, Supervisor Planning, and Senior Technical Advisor to the Department Manager of Southern Area Gas Production Department, at SOFCON Consulting Co, Saudi Arabia; Suncor Inc., Canada; and Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia.

• Design of five 36” diameter pipelines complete with scraping facilities to transport Methane as fuel gas and Ethane as feedstock for industries in Jubail-2 Industrial Park, Saudi Arabia.
