Lantern Drilling (10/25/2008 - 04/01/2009) – Driller; Denver, Colorado; United States; Supervisor:Duties: Operated diesel or electric dry works to drill oil or gas wells. Observed pressure gauge and moved throttles and levered to control speed of rotary table which rotated string of tools in borehole, and to regulate pressure of tools at bottom of borehole. Selected and changed drill bits according to nature of strata. Examined operation of slush pumps to ensure circulation and consistency of mud (drilling fluid) in well.
Patterson UTI Drilling (10/25/2007 - 10/29/2008) - Driller Crew Chief; Snyder, Texas; United States;Duties: Served as working crew Leader of approximately 6 employees. Passed on to other workers instructions received from supervisor, and started work by assigning immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led. Insured needed plans, blueprints, material, tools were available, needed stock was obtained from supply locations.
