Position: AREA CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (INFRASTRUCTURE)

My responsibilities: Reporting to Construction Manager
• Ensure by Managing and guidance that Contractors works meets all practical, commercial requirements, productivity and schedule target completion dates.
• Responsible for all Infrastructure, Process and non Process buildings, Control Rooms, Sub Stations, and all other Electrical and underground buried services.
• Standing in for Power Plant Area Manager when on vacation, for Construction of Power Plant
• Provide technical assistance as required for engineering changes and field change notices
• Prepare and update accurate project estimates and project schedules
• Sub – Contract review for tender qualifications, bid reviews, pre – award meetings, with input into final contract award.
• Ensure Construction Contractors adhere to the latest approved for construction (AFC) project drawings, specifications, procedures and site instructions.
• Co ordination with superintendents, planners for planning of construction schedules
• Ensure Contractors comply with all aspects of the Project HSE Plan and policies, site regulations as per Clients safety procedures.
• Conduct weekly interface co ordination meetings with Contractors
• Chair weekly Contractors progress meetings
• Managing multi – discipline projects from Earthworks, Civil construction, Structural steel Erection, Piping installation, electrical cabling and mechanical installation(HVAC Systems) (U$ 4.5 Billion)

• Progress planning – labor costing and client dealings
• All safety and quality related issues on site
