Main technical knowledge is in telecom construction (buildings & line plant), copper & fibre optic (internal & external) cable networks, ducting/cable pit networks, PBX, satellite station, UPS power installations. This includes design input and supervision of installation.
Experienced in the installation and commissioning of LAN/WAN, E1/T1 circuits, SDH, SCADA, PLS, RTU, CCTV, and ACS equipment.
Extensive experience in the installation of MITEL, NORTEL, CISCO and various other network and telecommunications equipment.
Extensive knowledge of HSE having completed in house courses for oil & gas companies.
Have instructed fibre optic practices and theory to students at sites where I have worked.
Good people skills with experience in instructing and mentoring local staff in all aspects of telecom engineering.
