Position : Quantity Surveyor
Job Duties : Responsible for all matters associated with the validation of Project sub
contractors interim progress payments and re-measurement of the sub-
contract work. The duties include on-site quantity surveying i.e.;-
• Re-measurement of contract drawings in accordance with Contract terms and conditions.
• Monitoring drawing revisions and updating re-measures accordingly (Bill of Quantities).
• Agreement of re-measure values with sub-contractors.
• Ensuring consistent interpretation of Contract clauses.
• Validation of Contractor progress payment applications and ensuring payments are in accordance with Contract terms and Conditions.
• Measuring, evaluating and negotiating the cost of additional works with the sub Contractor and ensuring variations are managed in accordance with the project Change Procedures.
• Assistance in the preparation of Variation Requests (VRs); review of Variation Order Proposals (VOPs) and development of subsequent Variation Orders (VOs)
• Assistance in the evaluation of Tender submissions and recommendations for award.
• Quantity forecasting to determine estimated final cost of measured work and quantity growth.
• Assistance to Cost Engineering group in developing final forecast values.
• Preparation of reports to Project Management and other Project groups as required.
• Assistance in the evaluation of sub-contractors claims for settlement.
• Preparation final account for close out of contract.
