Riversdale Moçambique Limitada is a coal mining company with 22 exploration licenses and is currently undertaking early works of mine development on its Benga license in Tete.

Engaged at the early stages of company formation in Mozambique, I have worked as a senior manager responsible of setting up HR systems and procedures and other roles beyond human resources. I have been instrumental in putting up the current human and physical capital the company has in Mozambique. I was involved various in CSI projects implemented by the company. I have played a key role in the upkeep and promotion of the company brand image in the hosting of and liaison with the investors, government officials, visitors and various stakeholders through meetings, presentations, inductions and various forms of correspondence. I set up and introduced the current graduate traineeship program of 17 graduate geologists and a leadership development program benefiting 34 employees. I was also pivotal in the setting up of the local resource usage system, a concerted effort between company, government, trade union and local communities. I participated in the preparation and presentation of the feasibility report of Benga Mine to the ministry. I have set up booths and represented the company at the international trade fare and international mining conference. I have represented the company at various high level meetings and visits to ZAC in KZN, Coega Project in Port Elizabeth, Tata Steel, India and in Malawi.
