Responsibilities:
? Research and development of new rotary compressor models for room air-conditioners that comply with regional climate requirement;
? Analysis of compressor with new designs by utilizing various testing methods;
? Inter-departmental coordination for new models development;
? Liaise with suppliers and vendors for outsourcing of compressor components;
? Technical presentation to production department prior to mass production

Experiences Gained and Accomplishments:
? Became project leader and responsible for developing high-efficiency compressor models for USA market that complied with the 13-Seasonal-Energy-Efficiency-Ratio (SEER) Regulation;
? Successfully developed new compressor models for USA market that achieved SEER value of 13.0 (highest for AC rotary compressor in market);
? Selected to attend the 61st International Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating Exposition (ASHRAE Expo) held in Chicago, USA;
? Selected as technical representative to headquarter of one of the customers in USA to promote company’s 13-SEER compressor models;
? Filed one compressor design patent entitled “Liner Assembly with Seal for Rotary Compressor Application” and being applied in new mass production models;
? Developed new low-noise compressor model that suited the chassis of one of the main customers in USA market;
? Experienced in designing compressor mechanical components with high-efficiency features using AutoCAD Mechanical (for 2D sketching) and Inventor (for 3D modeling and stress analysis);
? Involved in Value Engineering activities for cost reduction and standardization of compressor components;
? Experienced in conducting various testing utilizing actual air conditioner chassis including testing of reliability, psychrometric, sight glass, actual listening (sound) and natural frequency.
