Canrig manufactured various top drives and catwalk that were contracted from the several drilling company.
My major responsibilities included:
-Installation, maintain, repair, troubleshooting; and overhaul of Canrig Top Drives.
-Rig-up/down portable and fixed top drive systems, including rig interface components.
-Master all aspects of Canrig system that relate to the technician’s original vocation (mechanical, electrical, or driller training).
-Installation, maintain, repair, troubleshooting; and overhaul of Canrig Top Drives.
-Master all aspects of Canrig system that relate to the technician’s original vocation (mechanical, electrical, or driller training).
-Good experience and knowledge to investigate and rectify hydraulic problems.
-Perform disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, adjustment, testing and calibration of mechanical equipment (top drives) in accordance with pertinent technical manuals, drawings, manufacturer’s specifications and standards.
-Diagnose mechanical problems using state of the art diagnostic techniques and equipment to define mechanical problems on all rotating and stationary equipments in the process area and its utilities, field wells and loading facilities
-Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and instrument systems as required.
-Assist in training of fellow employees (drillers, rig electricians, rig mechanic…).
-Preparation of pertinent mechanical maintenance procedures and the required task risk assessment.
Other duties:
-Installation, maintain, repair, troubleshooting the catwalk equipment (Pragma).
